I knew there was a reason why not to insulate a pond that’s dug into the ground   oh yeah free heat pond is now up to 20.5°c free underground heating
When I built it I thought it was a pond I now realise it's just a puddle but it's my puddle

Mine's coming down. Now holding its own at 16C after a few cold nights with the heater set at 20C but limited to only 4hrs a night in order to take advantage of cheaper energy rates during that period. Looking at getting the covers out again over the weekend

Heater set to 18 and will hold for another month at this. Will be covering a few weeks earlier than usual as I'm going away in the middle of October and the leaves from the neighbours tree will be falling and I won't be there to get them out of the skimmer.

Still at 22 degrees fully covered including the bakki shower, ASHP seems to be holding it there easily at the moment apart from the other week when we had a few cold nights and I wasnt covered and the ASHP seemed to be on nearly all day  . Hoping to keep it there till the end of the month before slowly bringing it down to 15c for around Christmas time which I will give them a 3 month winter.
