I'm presuming its swim bladder or a tumour???as it's gone a weird shape.i no it's not a show winner or anything like that but I'd rather it be put out of her misery if its it pain. :handgestures-thumbup:

Well it’s attempting to eat ! Try looking in its gills and inside its mouth
Presume you have given it several scrapes ?

John, I recently had same with a kohaku, she was very eggy and was swimming on her side, once eggs have gone she's totally fine now, as long as the shiro isn't infected or open wounds would give it time or try spawn her

Impossible to say John, without taking it out and having a closer look, check for eggs etc, but it looks like swim bladder to me.

Not a lot John, a few old wives tales.

Epsom salt baths may help, antibiotics.

Contact Duncan griffiths he does a product that helps them shed the eggs or he did don’t know how it works but I was going to use it on my large chag last year but I unfortunately lost her due to being egg bound
