Hi John.
I've got 30 kilos in my shower similar to yours,I think the Sakura Media is very good, used to suffer high nitrates, but after using this nitrates at near zero last season, :happy-partydance: does take a season to mature though, just about to order another 10 kilos to really pack the shower out. :handgestures-thumbup:

People have different thoughts on the litres per hour on a shower

Some like a fast flow, others reccomend it slowerfor water dwell time in contact with the media

It does say max flow 18000 andy so I thought 15000 would be sound. I'll see how it goes if I need to put a variable pump on I will :handgestures-thumbup:

I'm only putting 110 lpm over my 1000 wide shower, which turns my 3000 gallon pond over every two hours,as mentioned above I like a reasonable dwell time both in the moving bed and shower, seems to work for me.
but I do remember reading somewhere dwell time isn't as important as once thought?

Can I ask where you bought it from and how much?
I've seen it £69 for 10kg"s for when I get my new shower later this spring.
Do I need to run my existing shower along side it till it matures.?
